My impressions of csc236 so far

As for my first entry, I would just like to write about what I think about this course and what it can offer me. So far there has only been two, three hour, lectures. I have only been to the second week's lecture and to this point, I am already finding the material to be a little challenging. The first problem set was not so bad, but I know that it will get much harder later in the course. The way Danny presents the examples is kind of too fast for me. I don't get most of the material the first time around. Hopefully, that will change. It has only been one lecture session so far. Let's see how I'll do next week. Perhaps I'll try a different approach to understanding the material the next time around. I noticed that the slides Danny works on is posted a few days before the lecture. I'll try to read them and try to get some idea of what to expect in lecture. Even though there is not much written in them, I'll atleast know what Danny will cover.

This course seems like it will help a lot in the future when dealing with algorithms in programming. Right now, I don't think it will help that much with the other courses, but definitely in later years. I really like how Danny grades the term work in this course. It is very fair! I think this kind of marking would be good for the csc programming courses. Anyways, I'm tired now so this is where I will stop. Find out what my thoughts and goals are next week. Bye.
